The Hadspen Cricket Club committee has announced Steve Neville as our Female Boom coach for the 2023-24 season.
Cap No.18 is a certified level 1 coach, ran the club's junior program for eight years and was senior assistant coach to Dean Hawkins during a significant culture change in the club's history.
A Chieftains life member, committee member and 200-game player said he is excited to start the role and work on growing and developing our women's players and program.
"We have a dedicated core group of players and we are looking to recruit players to build on that," he said.
"I want to build on the good work of Justin Reeves and create a fun and engaging program where everyone can learn and grow their game - learning all skills required in a game of cricket.
"There will be a place at Hadspen for players of all ages and abilities from first-time players looking to try the sport to those who have played for years."
Neville said he also wanted to work with men's senior coach Tristan Weeks and Junior Development Officer Curtis Hodgetts to build a one-club environment.
Women's official eight-week pre-season will start on Tuesday, September 5 at Windsor Park Indoor Nets, Riverside, from 7pm.
From October 4, training regularly will move to Mondays outdoors at Hadspen from 5.45pm.
If you are looking to play cricket with Hadspen this season or try the sport for the first time, call Steve Neville on 0407 849 771.
