Hodgetts named Junior Development Officer

We are thrilled to introduce Curtis Hodgetts as the Hadspen Cricket Club's Junior Development Officer for the upcoming 2023-24 season! šŸ

As our JDO, Curtis will play a crucial part in nurturing and guiding the young talent at our club, shaping our future.

"I am really looking forward to trying make this club a destination for junior cricket by having a fun and enjoyable environment whilst developing the skills players needed to succeed," Curtis said.

As a long-term Chieftains player and a loyal and dedicated club person, the level 1 coach is committed to youth development and will work closely with senior assistant Paul Dickson and senior coach Tristan Weeks in expert coaching.

He will focus on fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

President Corey Martin said he is confident that Curtis will make a significant impact on our junior players, helping them realise their full potential and nurturing their love for the game.

"We are looking to field teams in under-12s (ages 10-12), under-14s (ages 13-14), and under-16s (ages 14-16) as well as run an introductory Cricket Blast program (ages 5-10) this season to provide a steady pathway for players from juniors into senior cricket," he said.

Registrations will be open soon ahead of pre-season, which will kick off in October for our junior stars.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved in our junior cricket program, feel free to reach out to Curtis on 0448 555 701.

Let's continue to support and encourage our budding cricketers as they embark on this exciting journey.
